报告题目:Trophic collapse in Lake Huron (A Laurentian Great Lake, North America) and the use of PCBs and Hg as fisheries performance tracers
主 讲 人:Ken Drouillard教授(温莎大学)
时 间:2013年9月2日(周一)下午2:00
地 点:长江所六楼会议室
主讲人介绍:Dr. Drouillard received his PhD at Trent University, Peterborough, Canada in 2001. His PhD thesis focused on establishing the mechanism of POPs biomagnification in birds. His PhD thesis won the Governor General of Canada's Gold Medal (Adrienne Clarkson, Canada's first Chinese-Honk Kong born Governor General at the time of the award) for best thesis. He became an assistant professor at the University of Windsor in 2002 and won the University of Windsor's Outstanding Researcher Award, Junior category in 2007. Dr. Drouillard's research focuses on chemical bioaccumulation in animals, populations and food webs with specialization for POPs compounds but also includes metals and mercury bioaccumulation. He has worked extensively on the Laurentian Great Lakes of North America , but has also worked internationally in the Middle East (Dubai/United Nations University - Palm Islands Environmental Program), Caribbean (World Bank/United Nations University POPs monitoring in compliance with Stockholm Convention requirements) and Europe (University of Krakow Poland and Norwegian Polar Institute, Norway). Dr. Drouillard currently has 82 publications in peer reviewed journals and book chapters. His research interests include not only chemical bioaccumulation, but also modelling fish bioenergetics using novel chemical tracer approaches to understand ecological bioenergetics and aquatic ecosystem structure. He is part of the China-Canada Three Gorges Water Science Centre (CC-TCC) and interested in developing a program on carbon dynamics and POPs compounds in the Three Gorges Reservoir with Southwest University。
